 A key factor in achieving and maintaining clean and hygienic pool water is the filtration of solid particles from the water. If no solid particles are present in the pool water, a low, but constant level of chlorine will disinfect the water and prevent algae from starting to grow. One could say that grafting of algae does not occur because of the lack of nucleus. A sand filter is most common for filtration of water and the most reliable and convenient ones have a side-mount Multi-port valve.
