Construction

Swimming pool requires a relative large investment and therefore should last for decades without major problems.
Consequently a pool needs a good foundation to avoid settling and/or cracking. A crack in the wall of a house can be fixed easily; a crack in the pool bottom or pool wall is a totally different story.
The northern part of Thailand in particular is subject to seismic activity in the earth crust, quite frequently small tremors crop up and occasionally a stronger quake occurs.

Quality is our criterion for pool constructions

Pools walls should not crack and tiles should not detach during an earthquake. During the strong quake in 2007 (about 6.2 at the epicenter in Laos), all our pools withstood the tremor without any problem, although most of them showed mini Tsunami’s with waves up to 15cm. The underlying structure of the soil is a major factor for the design of the foundation of the pool. Also the type, size and shape of pool; infinity, skimmer or waterfall pool determines whether piling is required or footing will do, or whether foundation beams can be built directly onto the underlying geo-structure.

In other words, whether the pool will be constructed in a rice field or on the slopes of a hill or mountain will make a significant difference for the strength calculations. The foundation beams and pool walls and floor are build using certified steel (RB) and certified (Portland cement) concrete. Tiles are glued using European imported Pool-grade mortar-glue and the grouting is also European made Pool-grade quality.
We carry high quality Pool-tiles from the best manufacturers in Thailand.
